THE AUTHOR

Roberta lives in Oregon where this story takes place. She retired from the IT department of the Oregon Department of Transportation. She is an animal lover, which comes out in her writing. No animal will ever die in any of her books so read with peace. Roberta loves gardening, quilting, watercolor painting and occasionally pottery when she is not writing. Roberta is a member of the Hay House Writers Community and the Willamette Writers Community.

These three dogs were the inspiration for Casper, Red, and The General. The all white great Pyrenees below was my beloved Cody. The next picture shows my very first great Pyrenees named Tucker, along with my Shih Tzu, Mr. Wilson, and my Eurasian named Dragon. I’ve shared my life with a lot of dogs, but these dogs will always be near and dear to my heart. And they were the inspiration for the dogs in this book.
